Mr. Halstead is an expert in railway signal design, maintenance, and testing, as well as human factors relating to drivers at rail/highway crossings. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and has served 19 years in the rail industry as a Signal Circuit Designer and Supervisor of Signal Construction and Maintenance.
Mr. Halstead is President of IronWood
Technologies (IWT) in Syracuse, NY. In addition to railroad accident
investigation, he offers a full range of litigation and trial support services.
These include computer-generated animation, video documentaries, physical
exhibits, settlement brochures, "Day-in-the-Life" videos, and video depositions.
Mr. Halstead also publishes the IronWood
Guide to Railway Accidents , a CD-ROM based standard reference for
railroad accident information. He is available to testify in both
federal and state courts.
