Mr. Loumiet is an accident reconstructionist consulting in the areas of train and traffic accident reconstruction and highway safety analysis. He specializes in freight, passenger and commuter train dynamics, train braking, stopping distance and event recorder analysis, time-position analysis, rail-highway grade crossing design and maintenance, and train-pedestrian accidents.
Mr. Loumiet received the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri - Kansas City (1988). He has authored numerous technical publications and has made presentations and lectures to various professional organizations.
Mr. Loumiet is the developer of the Train Braking
Dynamics Simulator. He is the principal author of "Train Accident Reconstruction
and FELA & Railroad Litigation." He has investigated hundreds
of transportation accidents, and has testified in both federal and state
courts.
